Delivered the Strategic planning and the Action Plan for the Integrated Coastal Management Zone in Cyprus

Our company was part of the study group, along with ALA Planning Partnership Consultants, the International Centre for Research on the Environment and the Economy (ICRE8) and the Greek Biotope/Wetland Centre (EKBY). Among other tasks we organized and applied multicriteria analysis using spatial variables. The analysis delineated the boundary of the inland coastal zone. We used the AHP and PROMETHEE II multicriteria analysis methods for several scenarios using geodata to structure the criteria.  The Protocol on integrated coastal zone management in the Mediterranean, which is the seventh Protocol of the Barcelona Convention, is the first legal international tool for the sustainable management and use of coastal zones, taking into account the importance of coastal ecosystems, the diversity of activities and uses and their impacts on the marine and coastal area.
